EDUCATION & RESEARCH
Free access for those building what's next
Students, educators, and researchers can get a non-commercial version of the nTop engineering design platform, along with access to learning resources and a community of peers and nTop experts.
Who nTop Education is for
Students
Students can use nTop to develop skills, process knowledge, and prepare for a career in the modern engineering world.
Educators
Educators at all levels can incorporate nTop into their course curriculum to prepare their students for future engineering careers.
Researchers
Individuals not affiliated with universities conducting non-commercial research can use nTop to explore new ideas, run training events, and share their work broadly.

Supporting the next generation of engineers and researchers
Students, educators, and academic researchers get free access to nTop, our learning platform, and our Discord community. We also work with colleges and universities around the world to develop course curriculum that introduces students to computational design.
Where engineering design is heading, in recent research
Engineering teams are moving toward models that describe whole families of designs, analysis that runs across thousands of variations, and machine learning trained on the results. nTop is built on implicit modeling, which defines geometry with mathematical functions instead of a fixed boundary surface, so models stay valid as parameters change. The recent papers below show researchers using this approach for thermal management, cellular structures, and biomechanics.
Design and numerical simulation of direct cooling evaporators for chip thermal test based on triply periodic minimal surfaces.
Generating new cellular structures for additive manufacturing through an unconditional 3D latent diffusion model
AI-Optimized Lattice Structures for Biomechanics Scaffold Design
